Preview of Killzone 3 on PS3
With less than two months before the release of Killzone 3 for PlayStation 3, it is safe to say that fans of first-person shooter are looking forward to the release of the latest installment of the Guerrilla Games-developed series. Killzone 2 featured excellent gameplay, beautiful graphics and great multiplayer modes. And although there’s not much room for criticism, the Guerrillas have chosen to improve on the success of this previous game, and include some interesting features in Killzone 3.
In February the FPS is set to feature sophisticated gameplay mechanics, integrating 3D Stereoscopic, PlayStation Move support, better multiplayer options online and split-screen cooperative play. For a series that was doing well, these additions are sure to drive it to the next level.
Killzone 3 Plot
Killzone 3 takes place immediately after the events of Killzone 2. Sev, a operative for the interplanetary alliance, has successfully completed his mission and is now in partnership with Rico. The duo is in the midst of the struggle of the Helghast Empire, and together they must go through the crossfire that follows from the debacle.
Guerrilla said that the story of Killzone 3 will be more light than previous entries, and that its development will be much more robust this time. Character dialogue will help to develop the characters personalities, and despite the tone has changed, the plot of Killzone 3 will be deep and profound.
Killzone game 3
Killzone 3 remains close to its predecessor in terms of gameplay. While there are some improvements, the mechanics and physics are the same. This is definitely a good thing as Killzone 2 delivers a precise playing FPS. Picking off enemies systematically is the way to go in Killzone 3. You can use jetpacks as you progress through the game, feature that has already been seen in Killzone: Liberation. There is also some close-range combat in the game. Revamped melee mechanics are incorporated in the game for those times when brute force is necessary.
A nice addition to the Killzone franchise is a new split-screen co-op. You can finally be together with a friend and experience local cooperation. This feature was not present in the previous releases, and its inclusion is certainly welcome. Shooters tend to be much better when you bring a friend along for the ride, and now you have the opportunity to explore new arctic environments in Killzone 3, next to a buddy.
